Jeep Grand Cherokee Leads Australian Sales Record

Chrysler Australia are reporting a huge 3rd quarter result for 2011 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee is the star of the show leading its segment in the Luxury SUV market by a large margin in September with 445 units sold. Sales of Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles doubled in September when compared with 2010 (1435 units vs. 710) and YTD sales are up a sizeable 30 per cent.
The new Jeep has been boosted with the recent arrival of the Turbo Diesel variants but stocks are sold out until early next year for some variants. The top specification Overland model is being quoted by dealers for March and April delivery if ordered now. The new Diesel has been getting great reviews from the media. Even the "anti-Jeep" biased media are finding it difficult to criticise the new Jeep. Some even make statements like "I find it hard to accept such a quality car can come from Jeep". -The Age. Others seem to make comments that give the impression that they did not even drive the car, it makes you wonder if Motoring Journalists are as impartial as they make themselves out to be.
