Australian Jeep Buyers Effected By Strong World Wide Demand
Huge world wide demand for the New 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 Wrangler models are causing long delivery times for Australian buyers of these popular Jeep models. US Sales in Feb 2011 of Grand Cherokee were up 31% over 2010 and the recently upgraded Wrangler by 28% over last year.
Dealers are saying that further production delays in the USA are causing havoc to Australian orders for the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 Jeep Wrangler models. A further restriction on the popular Quadra-Lift air suspension option on the Grand Cherokee will cause even longer waiting times for the almost sold out Grand Cherokee. There are very few un-sold 2011 Grand Cherokees' in Australia.

Aussie 2011 Wrangler Details
Australian Spec 2011 Wrangler Model and Feature Changes
• All new redesigned interior
– Redesigned dash and instrument panel
– Modified centre stack now with silver painted A/C outlet rings, passenger grab handle with embossed logos
– New front door trim with soft touch armrests and ergonomic door handles
– Reversible load floor mat with Jeep logo
– Larger in-floor rear cargo area storage
• Hill Descent Control (HDC) now packaged with automatic transmissions
• Power heated mirrors added
• New Jeep brand corporate leather-wrapped steering wheel including cruise control and audio controls
• W5A580 transmission replaces 545RFE on diesel vehicles
• Standard axle ratio for diesel models with an automatic transmission now a 3.21 (formerly 3.73)
• Automatic headlamps now standard on Rubicon
• Black monotone cloth trim replaces Dark Slate Grey/ Medium Slate Grey cloth trim
• Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) now standard with Diesel variant
• 2.8L CRD turbo diesel now compliant with Euro V emissions standards
• New Stop-Start technology added for 2.8L CRD Turbo Diesel manual transmissions; vehicle shuts off when stopped and shifter is in neutral and the clutch is released, restarts when clutch is depressed
• Hard top now features larger quarter glass and larger CHMSL
• Bright White, Cosmo Blue, Deep Cherry Red, Detonator Yellow and Mango Tango paint added
• Deep Water Blue, Red Rock Crystal, and Stone White paint removed.

• Connectivity Group option available on all models which includes EVIC, Uconnect Voice Command w/Bluetooth and leather-wrapped steering wheel (standard on Diesel manual)
